According to the organiser, around 35 winemakers working with minimal intervention from all of Lower Austria’s wine regions pour at Natural Kamptal, spread across two venues close together in Straß. There are also masterclasses, talks and cooking demonstrations. Friday brings a dinner with natural wine pairing, and Monday is a trade day.

Natural wine divides opinion, and that is exactly why we find tastings like this interesting: in one afternoon you can taste a great many styles side by side and form your own view instead of just reading about it. Straß lies in the heart of the Kamptal, which we look at more closely in our article on the history of the Kamptal.

How the event fits the region

According to the organiser, the main tasting takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026 from 1 pm, and the dinner on Friday 6 November from 5.30 pm. Tasting tickets are announced from 35 euros, with options including a masterclass, a bus from Vienna or an overnight stay. A shuttle from Hadersdorf am Kamp station has been announced.
