Wachau Wine Spring 2027
On the first weekend of May 2027, the wineries of Vinea Wachau open their cellars and present the new vintage.

Wine Spring is the annual presentation of the new vintage by the winemakers of Vinea Wachau. The participating wineries are listed in the Wine Spring flyer, which is new each year; according to the organiser, many are within walking distance of the village centres. Additional buses supplement regular services, and the Wine Spring wristband also covers the Wachaubahn during the event weekend.

Why this date is interesting
If there is one date on which you experience the Wachau as a wine region in one go, it is this one: the new vintage, visits to the participating wineries, and a wristband that also covers bus, train and ferry. We are listing it this early because the organiser advises booking accommodation early due to high demand.

How the event fits the region
According to Vinea Wachau, on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2027, each day from 10 am to 6 pm. The organiser's page currently lists a Wine Spring wristband for 40 euros, valid for the tastings and for Wachau buses, the Wachaubahn and foot passengers on the Danube ferries on both days; please check in advance whether this price already applies to 2027.
