Charity wine christening in the Dominican Church in Krems with a wine by a woman winemaker and an anniversary tasting, in aid of grief support for children and young people.

According to the organiser, the women’s wine christening takes place for the 25th time. A wine from Weingut Allram is christened, alongside an anniversary tasting of wines by the women winemakers of previous years, a buffet and music. The net proceeds go to the Förderverein Palliativ Care Krems for grief support for children and young people.

Why this date is interesting
A wine christening that has put women winemakers at its centre for 25 years seems to us a lovely reason to head to Krems on a November evening. That the proceeds go to a social cause makes the date all the more appealing.

According to the organiser, on Friday 6 November 2026 from 7 pm; the Lower Austria events calendar gives 6.30 pm, probably as the time doors open. Tickets cost 50 euros including the buffet, available online and, according to the organiser, also at two shops in Krems and Gföhl. Please check details with the organiser before you go.
